// Why it exists

Everyone uses AI. Few use it well.

Most people tell me they "use AI". Then I see what they get out of it. Generic answers, half-finished drafts, ten tools open and none of them doing real work.

The tool usually isn't the problem. Nobody told them which tools fit their work, or how to actually talk to them.

I test AI tools for a living and run AI automation for a real business. Mirax Labs is where I share what works, with people who are serious about getting better. The test tells me where you are, so what I send you fits.

  1. Take the test

    Two questions on how you use AI, three knowledge checks with one right answer each, one question where you show something you actually did, and what you do for work.

  2. Get reviewed

    Your answers are scored the moment you submit. Claiming you're advanced won't get you there. Your test answers and your example have to back it up.

  3. Get your level and report

    On screen and in your inbox: your level, why you got it, 3 tools picked for your work, and your first move this week.

  4. Join the community

    Pick the WhatsApp group or the Telegram channel. That's where the articles, tool breakdowns and workshops land.

  5. Come back and level up

    Your Lab Pass unlocks a new check-in after 7 days. Each one is a different test, and it shows how far you've come.

Your level comes from three things: how you use AI, your knowledge checks, and the example you give. Self-reporting alone caps you at Level 2.

The Lab Pass

Get in and you receive a Lab Pass: a private link in your email that works as your account. No passwords. It opens a small app with four tabs.

  • Home. The countdown to your next check-in, a mission for the week, and the latest Tested by Mirax articles. Tap the invite bar to open your referral page.
  • Feed. AI tools that worked for people in your field. Share your own, and mark the ones that helped you.
  • Ask. Ask Mirax a question. It goes straight to my inbox and I reply by email. 3 questions a week.
  • Me. Your level, toolkit, test history, reminders and where you stand with the rules.

Keep it private. Anyone with the link can open your account. Lost it? Tap "Already in? Open your Lab Pass" on the test page, enter your email, and a fresh link lands in your inbox.

Check-ins on a ladder

After your first test, the next one stays locked for a while. Use the time to do your next move. Then come back and show me.

  • Every check-in is a different test, aimed at the level above you.
  • You compare your work then with your work now. That's where progress shows.
  • You can move up one level per check-in, and you never drop down.
  • Level up and the wait resets to 7 days.
  • Reach Level 4 and the ladder ends. Sessions are open whenever you need one.

A video editor and a salesperson at the same level shouldn't get the same advice. On the test you pick 1 to 4 things you do, or want to do, and your 3 tools are chosen from a toolkit built for that work.

Every tool is real, works from Nigeria and most countries, and has a free tier or free trial. Students get tools for learning faster, not for hiding AI from lecturers.

If you don't get in, the page tells you exactly why and gives you a button to try again. After 3 tries the test pauses for 30 days.

  • A referral counts when the person you invite takes the test and gets in.
  • Your link and your count live on your referral page. Open it from the invite bar on Home.
  • Rewards are coming. Early referrals count.

Tools that actually worked

Members share the AI tools that helped them, and say exactly what each one did. You see posts from people in your field first: video editors see video tools, writers see writing tools. Switch to any field, or all of them, whenever you like.

Every post is checked before anyone sees it:

  • The link opens. It has to be a real, working site.
  • Scam check. No wallets, giveaways, "DM to earn" or "send money first".
  • AI web check. The tool is searched on the web to confirm it's real and can do what the post says.
  • Mirax decides if it's unclear. Usually within 24 hours.

Mark a post Useful if it helped you. See something off? Report it. Posts reported by more than one person are hidden until I check them.

Four strikes

Share real tools you've used. No scams, no spam, no insults, and no tools for passing off AI work as your own in school. Break a rule and you get a strike:

  • 1. Warning. The post comes down and you get an email saying why.
  • 2. Posting paused for 7 days. You can still read, ask and take check-ins.
  • 3. Suspended for 30 days. Your Lab Pass is locked for a month.
  • 4. Banned. Your account is closed for good.

Strikes 1 to 3 clear after 6 months of good standing. Scams can skip straight to a ban.

Where the work happens

Once you're in, you choose where the content comes to you.

  • WhatsApp group. Join requests are approved by the number you gave on the test.
  • Telegram channel. Same articles, plus a discussion space and live workshops.
  • Tested by Mirax. Honest AI tool reviews, with a newsletter on Substack you can tick on the test.

Mostly articles and tool breakdowns. Sometimes workshops. No spam.

Is it free?

Yes. The test, the report, the Lab Pass and the community are free.

Do I need any AI experience?

No. Level 1 is a perfectly good place to start. The test only checks where you are.

Does an AI decide if I get in?

No. AI helps read your answers, set your level and pick your tools. Getting in or not comes down to fixed rules: brush-offs, gibberish and insults don't get in. Everything else does.

How long does the test take?

About 3 minutes. Check-ins are shorter.

What happens to my details?

They're used for your report and the community, and never sold or shared. Your answers are reviewed with the help of AI.

I lost my Lab Pass. What now?

On the test page, tap "Already in? Open your Lab Pass" and enter your email. A fresh link arrives in your inbox.

How do I ask Mirax something?

Open your Lab Pass and tap Ask. Your question goes straight to my inbox and the reply comes to your email. You get 3 questions a week.

Why isn't my post showing yet?

It's waiting for me to check it, usually within 24 hours. That happens when the automatic checks aren't sure. If the link didn't open, you'll be asked to fix it first.

Will I get reminders?

One email when your check-in opens. Turn it off any time in your Lab Pass under Me.

Can I retake the test to get a higher level?

Your check-ins do that. They unlock after 7 days, then 14, then 30, then monthly, and each one can move you up a level.
